JEREMY IRONS - "Humbert Humbert"


In 1988, Iron's performance as twin gynaecologists in David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers brought him a Best Actor Award as the New York Film Critics Circle and a Canadian Genie.
He then starred with his son in Michael Winner's screen adaptation of the Alan Ayckbourn Comedy A Chorus of Disapproval, and with Fanny Ardant in Australia.

In 1990, Irons starred with Glenn Close in the feature film based on the re-trial of Claus von Bulow, Reversal of Fortune, directed by Barbet Shroeder. For his performance as von Bulow, he received the Academy Award for Best Actor.
